Thursday: visiting Grundfos in Erkrath
Thursday morning we paid a visit to the Grundfos company in Erkrath and had a tour in the new administration building Delta House, followed by lunch in the canteen. There is no production there, only offices. All service jobs in Germany are managed centrally from here. The building is very imposing in dark red/brown stones and designed as a rotunda insite, where the offices are open against the middle. The roof is made of glass and there is an outside walk with a spectacular view over the city. In connection with the visit, pictures were taken, and an article was made for the local newspaper.

Friday: Petanque training
During the afternoon we visited the local petanque club to do some training on their ground. The club has 90 members and a very nice petanque ground next to a city park. Erkrath has 60.000 citizens but since houses are low, scattered over a large area with many green places, it did not feel like a big city.
